Bogotá · Code and law

Software that survives
the fine print.

I'm Pablo Vidal, a full-stack developer and corporate lawyer. I build websites, e-commerce and platforms where the product and its legal framework are designed together: contracts, signature flows, personal data and compliance solved inside the code, not afterwards.

About

Two disciplines,
one way of thinking

I work from corporate law and from the keyboard. That changes the conversation: when I review a checkout I know what invoicing rules demand; when I draft an approval flow I know what can be automated and what must stay in a person's hands.

I usually come in where the business is regulated or the process is dense: law firms, professional-services marketplaces, stores growing faster than their operations.

The outcome is the same every time: less translation between the legal and the technical team, and fewer surprises once the product is live.

Services

How I can help

Four areas of work. A project almost always starts in one and ends up touching two.

01

Websites and landing pages

Design and development of company sites and landing pages: content structure, baseline copy, performance and analytics. Shipped with an admin panel the team can run without help.

02

E-commerce

New stores and inherited ones: catalogue, payment gateways, shipping, invoicing integrations and conversion work. Monthly maintenance too, once the operation is up and running.

03

Platforms and marketplaces

Custom product: verified profiles, quoting, split payments, internal dashboards and roles. I start from how the business actually works, and only then from the screen.

04

Process automation

Anything someone does by hand today and repeats: lead follow-up, replies and quotes, document generation, reports, email or WhatsApp alerts. Marketing, sales, operations or legal — the principle is the same: understand the process first, then automate only what's worth automating.

Selected work

Every project,
a different problem

Client engagements and products of my own. Several of the latter are published on the CraftOS marketplace with their price: anyone can open and run them today.

Otto out-of-court conciliation desk From $30 5.0 · 5 purchases
Own productPublic Ministry

Otto

A working desk for Colombia's judicial prosecutors, who conduct out-of-court conciliation in administrative-law matters. It checks the requirements of article 101 of Law 2220 of 2022, drafts the corresponding order — admitting, rejecting or declaring the matter non-conciliable — and assembles the hearing script and minutes from the case file. What an office resolves in hours, resolved on the case itself.

Hackathons

Building against the clock

Weekend challenges where someone else sets the problem and the clock is tight. They're the best test bench I know: whatever survives there is worth keeping.

Scene editor for AI-avatar video

Social-media content with no filming and no editing: you define a character, describe what it should do, and the tool builds the video scene by scene — action and dialogue, setting and clip generation — with a script the AI can write on its own.

Unified medical record

The patient enters their hospital portal credentials and the platform downloads their complete medical record. Ampara, health injunctions over WhatsApp
August 2026 · Colombia Tech Week · Access-to-justice challenge

Tutela Ya

A chat that assesses whether a case qualifies as a constitutional injunction — six fundamental rights, eight requirements — and, when it does, drafts the document on the official template. Ampara grew out of it, and now runs the whole service over WhatsApp: preparing, filing and following the case to the ruling.

  • Word generation
  • Guided chat

A good product doesn't argue with the law: it builds it in from the very first diagram.
